He believes the duty of a journalist is to provide people with untold stories. Journalism plays a very important role in democratic societies. One of its main purposes is to supply the audience with real stories to know the truth.
A journalist should serve as a public ‘watchdog’ by monitoring any political, economic, or scientific process in order to ensure that the people in the above-mentioned fields carry out the right decisions for the well-being of the citizens.
As an achievement, he considers creating strong bonds and partnerships with the right professionals. It’s highly honorary when his work is recognized and goes beyond the borders of one country. Vassilios has been working with big title magazines around the world as well as websites, radios and TV stations on digital platforms.
What makes him unique in his interviews is the fact that he puts himself in his guests’ shoes, hence he tries to have a conversation to unwind them, so as to go through the interview smoothly. His main characteristic is his personality as he tries to be creative, in order to make his guests interested in the interview and happy to do it. He loves to create a friendly environment with positive vibes.
His definition of success is the accomplishment ofan aim or purpose. And this is what he does. He works hard to achieve what he’s dreamt of.
Vassilios is bound by a team spirit. Working in a team, the members become more productive orcreative and the outcome is satisfactory. So, he needs to bemore apprehended, spirited and perseverant to drive the project through.
As we all know journalists don’t have a daily routine. Every day is a new day. They’re chasing the stories and digging out the truth. Vassilios wakes up at eight in the morning, gets in touch with his colleagues and gets the work starting. Events is something that he attends to cover onaccount of the media he works for. Some days, he goes out with family and friends.
He has interviewed thousands of famous personalities. Meeting these great people is a piece of information that adds up and becomes knowledge once he goes through their lives and their work he learns from them. He sees through them a variety of values, ideas, norms, beliefs and mindsets. This is an experience that needs to be explored. He has a very good relationship with most of the celebrities, so every interview is a friendly discussion.
First and foremost, he stays motivated at work by creating ethical relationships with his colleagues, honesty is very often a major focus, and then he never thinks of the work as work. He reckons it as his day to go out and have fun.
His advice to those who ask it is to believe inyourself, be true, tell the truth and relish the moments to meet new people.
To contact a celebrity it’s not easy, sometimes he finds closed doors. This is a failure. But he tries a second time and’s successful. He’s patient and gives time to people to think.
His motto is “Life is too short, live it up.”
