NON VOLTARMI LE SPALLE

“Non voltarmi le spalle” è un progetto di Raimondo Rossi, in arte Ray Morrison. Il progetto nasce per stimolare un po’ di movimento negli stereotipi di bellezza, non solo nella moda, ormai congelati da alcuni decenni. Sia nell’universo maschile che nell’universo femminile sono iniziati dei piccoli cambiamenti, a favore di alcune persone plus size, ma poco di più è stato fatto.

Ci sono dei bellissimi personaggi maschili e femminili, considerati e seguiti nel mondo dei social o della moda, che stanno vivendo la loro primavera nonostante il 60 o 70 anni di età.

Ma rimangono casi isolati. Casi singoli. Raramente proposti nelle sfilate o negli eventi, se non come caso particolare o come integrazione per lo show principale. 

Qui i modelli vengono ritratti all’inizio di spalle o con un profilo oscurato, come la società e gli stereotipi di moda le convincono a stare. Ma dopo un primo approccio, visto da dietro, entrambe si voltano con fierezza e semplicità verso la camera, e sono ritratte in tutto il loro carisma, che deriva da un essere vere e pulite, senza ritocchi né trucchi, caratteristici degli editoriali di moda. 

“Non voltarmi le spalle” ci offre un piccolo germe che tutti dovremmo far crescere quotidianamente nella nostra vita: tante persone soffrono di insicurezze, tristezze, dovute a quello che per decenni è stato proposto. Farsi ritrarre in maniera così pulita, può essere uno stimolo per tutti noi, e per ogni lettore, che dentro di sé deve finalmente sentir crescere amore ed autostima.

Don’t turn your back on me

“Many people suffer from insecurities, sadness, due to what has been proposed for decades.”

“Don’t turn your back on me” is a project, previewed in Vogue Italy and Sir-K Magazine too, by Raimondo Rossi, aka Ray Morrison. The project was created to stimulate a bit of movement in beauty stereotypes, not only in fashion, which has now been frozen for several decades.

Both in the male universe and in the female universe small changes have begun, in favour of some plus size people, but little more has been done. There are some beautiful male and female characters, considered and followed in the world of social or fashion, who are experiencing their spring despite being 60 or 70 years old. But there are isolated cases. Single cases. Rarely offered in fashion shows or events, except as a special case or as a supplement to the main show.

Here the two models are portrayed by their shoulders, as the society and the fashion stereotypes would like to keep them. But after an initial approach, seen from behind, both turn with pride and simplicity towards the room, and are portrayed in all their charisma, which derives from a true and clean being, without touch-ups or tricks, characteristic of fashion editorials.

“Don’t turn your back on me”, gives us a small seed that each of us must allow to grow day by day in our lives: many people suffer from insecurities, sadness, due to what has been proposed for decades.

Being portrayed in such a clean way can be a stimulus for us all, and for every reader, who must finally feel love and self-esteem growing inside.
